Deltak Appoints New Board Members

Deltak edu, Inc. today announced that Henry Bienen and Jack Staley have joined the company's Board of Directors.

Henry Bienen is the 15th president of Northwestern University and has held the position for the last nine years. His extensive career in higher education includes 28 years at Princeton University as a distinguished political science professor, department chair and dean. He has also been a consultant to the US Department of State, National Security Council, the Central Intelligence Agency and the World Bank, as well as a number of Fortune 500 corporations and major non-profit foundations. "Deltak colleges play a significant role in the higher education market by making career education more accessible for working adults in all of the markets they serve. I have known and worked with Bob King, Deltak's chairman, for many years and believe his vision and that of his team will enable Deltak to become a leader in online education," said Mr. Bienen.

Jack Staley is currently the chairman of the Board of Trustees of DePaul University, the largest Catholic university in the United States. Mr. Staley served as an area managing partner of Ernst & Young from 1985-2001. He is heavily involved in the Chicago area, and is a current board member at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Mr. Staley is also on the board of directors of eLoyalty, CenterPoint Properties Trust and Hospira, all Chicago-based firms. "The Deltak vision is the perfect example of a company succeeding in business while furthering the educational opportunities for the community. They have developed a highly innovative approach to incorporating technology into education, which will propel them to a leadership position in the higher education marketplace," commented Mr. Staley.

Mr. Bienen and Mr. Staley join an already noteworthy board that includes Bob King, founder of NetG and former DeVry board member, Jack McCartan, veteran career college owner and operator, and Ted Manning, former Executive Director of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
